Continuing Development

Hello, I am a huge fan of this game, and I'd love to pick up the development of this engine. I have been programming framework and back-end software in C++, Java, and Python for 7 years now, and if some one ( possibly ARKtest? ) can point me to the original developer, or whoever owns the source, I'd be more than happy to give a demonstration of my capabilities. Thanks

Golems constructor GOD

HI, I'm so happy to know that people still go on this site and been hoping for someone to come forward to mention this game and also hoping for someone to improve this game for years now, i do not know who is the creators of this game or even where it was from but i am a great builder in the game and even have a Youtube channel that is somewhat dedicated to the program. I would also be a great source of tips and suggestions to improve the game and what ever bugs it has (at which it does) i hope you get this message and visit my channel.

Re: Continuing Development

Hi!

Sorry, it's been a long time since I've checked these forums and I couldn't even remember my account login. I honestly didn't realize that anyone was still using this software, but I recently saw Austin's Spot Mini video on youtube and was totally amazed.

License information is available on the Golems about page. As you might be aware, Golems was made open-source as of version 0.5.7; the source code is available from its github repo.

It's primarily written in Java, so if you have experience with that, then you should be good to go!

A fun project for anyone who might be interested in enhancing Golems: Have you heard of Phya? Did you know that the developer of Golems wrote a Java port for it, called JPhya?

Support for JPhya was included as a hidden feature in the open-source release. However it was disabled due to some volume regulation issues during complex collisions. But why not have some fun finding out how to enable it?

Good luck!

Jacob

Re: Continuing Development

I was going through the game data files of Golems and I notice a file in the physics folder named "buoyancy". I am Not a programmer by any means so I have no idea what this means for the game. Is the buoyancy file a programming
technical term for something else? Does the buoyancy file supposed to Add the physics effects of buoyancy to the game?
I NEED ANSWERS!
