posticon Hinges and hydraulics broken?

Hi, I tried to create a walking two-legged-machine-thing (left shift for machine guns, space for cannon, w/s for left leg, up/down arrow keys for right leg) and I noticed that the hydraulics aren't responding to the input. I wired up some oscilloscopes and found that the battery WAS outputting power, but the hydraulic piston refused to move. I found that when I replaced the hinges the pistons were attached to with ball-and-socket joints, I could manually make the piston move, but it still would not respond to input. Also, the joints that the hydraulics were attached to could not be rotated, manually or by input. It also cannot be lag, because I am using a pretty beefy computer for this. Everything but the hydraulics work. If this has anything to do with it, I crashed the physics engine earlier by adding too many zeroes onto the power of the force beam (for the cannon), but I removed them and it started working again. What's going on?

Hello.
1. very heavy case.
2. small diameter Pistons. It is necessary to increase the Pistons. The entire model of course too. But the weight of models to do less. Weight = density in the properties of the parts.
3. set small power Pistons.
4. in the properties for the Pistons to put input signal velocity.
5. do not use the battery. Plug button directly to the piston. The buttons produce energy themselves.

1. I made the main body into helium, and adjusted things on either side to make it stay upright
2. I connected the input detectors directly to the hydraulics without the batteries
3. I set the hydraulics to interpret input signal as velocity
4. I tried to make the pistons bigger, but then it would attach to things other than the hinges
5. The hinges still will not rotate emoticon
I did not understand what you were trying to say in number 3 and the second sentence of number 4. Could you please maybe try to say it in a different way?

Bingo!
The Pistons don't work, because improperly installed axle.

No. 3: you have a weak Pistons.No. 4: at this point, you're all done correctly. Set the input signal VELOCITY

Good luck.

Sorry I took so long to respond, But I did what you suggested, and it worked... sort of. I eventually tried making the whole thing out of helium, and the controls worked, but extremely slowly, even though I had set both the maximum power and the maximum velocity to 100. And I still have two questions:
1)Why did the axles work but not the hinges?
2)Why do the pistons have so little power even at 100?

These forums are so abandoned that I'm surprised that they're still up and running, and haven't been taken down.
